Reinvent and morph into a whole new you
Remember the lessons that got you to where you are today
Still new into the year — or at any moment for that matter — this is a good time to consider reinvention. You can start afresh and cast off the past, and yet keep lessons you’ve learned in mind as you head into the future as a brand new you.
You might want to reinvent if you feel like you’re stuck in a rut or left with bad options. If so, it’s time to leave the caterpillar behind and morph into a butterfly.
Lessons you’ve learned should not be taken lightly. Reinvention is risky if you blindly start anew while forgetting how you got to where you are. This is when you weigh options. With everything in perspective, you know how you can resolve to do better. Envision where you would like to go — and when.
By all means, don’t think you have to go it alone if you want to reinvent. There are plenty of people able and willing to assist and guide you if you’re willing to give them the chance. Coaches and communities can support your reinvention if you let them in on your plan. If you keep everything to yourself, they’ll never know how they can lend a hand.
Reinvention takes resolve, commitment and follow-through. It’s both a decision point and the start of a continuing lifestyle — if you have the dedication to follow through.
