Most of these recommendations come down to common sense, which is not always easy to achieve when you contend with outside pressure. Too often, people want you to lead your life as they live theirs instead of as you know better how to live yours.
The most striking example I’ve come across is from bosses or leaders who tell their teams, “Sleep is overrated.” They profess to stay up extremely late and wake up extremely early and fault those who fail to follow their example. Time will tell — maybe not until many years go by — who was right. Ultimately, it’s not worth losing sleep over if you can help it.
