Going with the flow is oh so tempting, and it’s good to realize you don’t need to go through life in blind pursuit of a long-outdated goal. Having grown up next to a train station, I really wanted to be a train engineer. I long ago gave up on that dream — more like laughed out of it whenever I mentioned that to anyone. I can still watch the trains go by OK with the notion that goals may change at any stage in life. The most important thing is to find that sweet spot between floating and swimming.
